EDI is far more than the conversion of files
Electronic communication is actually a very complicated process and it requires competent solutions. Lizacom consists only of professionals, not sellers, so carry with us that this page is perhaps a little too technical and not so much "selling" even though we have tried to explain a very complex product as easy as we can. We believe, after long-term development, we have managed to create the ultimate solution for EDI, so that your employees will not only look at the new solution as a management requirement, but something they can really embrace as a tool to simplify their everyday lives.
A true EDI solution is able to manage all electronic communications, both inbound and outbound, and it just works. The user will not notice that they work electronically rather than analogue, but they will experience it as an improvement of the work. Your employees do not have to spend their working hours standing waiting in line at a network printer, a fax or use the time to run up and down stairs. Exercise is healthy, but there are better ways to get in shape!
Lizacom provide EDI solutions that cover most needs. Lizacom handles point-to-point transactions (such as a network to network / single recipient or sender), point-to-network where the sender does not need to spend large sums of money to deliver and that we provide a rough standard solution from our core partners throughout the US an Europe (point two network solution, E-invoice and so on). What about an automated solution for billing, where customers can select the E-invoice or invoice in the mail? What if we add that the printed and E-invoice can be done locally in every country, to the local postage even though it is your company HQ that`s doing the billing? Oh by the way .. we forgot to mention that both the printing and packing envelopes most likely be cheaper than you can do yourself. Other communications solutions, we can program. Lizacom will off-course be pleased to make you an offer for a separate solution for your industry/ partners/ customers. Nothing is impossible, the impossible just take a little bit longer to fulfil. Working EDI solutions? It is simple, it´s Lizacom.
In opposite to most other “EDI-geniuses” out there, we are not a standard converter, which only accepts a format and leave the job to get it right for you. Our primary biz is ERP and BI so EDI is a piece of cake for us. Lizacom develop the actual applications to run your biz, and we grew tired of companies that never delivered, so we decided to make totally integrated solutions ourselves to get rid of incompetence in data handling. Within 14 days of decision, Lizacom had integrated with ALL important formats in Europe. Special needs we usually solve within one day. If the format does not exist in our database from before, we can guarantee you that we can program a solution for this. Our automatic printer solution designed for the challenges! You can have any ERP system and we can create a solution. We dare say that we have the best programmers in the world to handle such issues.
Many people who like talking about EDI has only worked to convert one format to another, it is not EDI but the conversion! We are application developers and has thus a much heavier basis for the development of our conversion engine that can handle most challenges. Lizacom always focus from the customer perspective, and the customer's employees' experience of the process. All technique is at the server level so that your employees can do about their business. How about sending invoices to the same printer, and printer handles the rest? Sounds easy? Yes, it is a Lizacom solution ... there is a reason why 98% of our customers are satisfied customers, there is a reason that if you made the decision to become a Lizacom customer, you are most likely to stay as a happy Lizacom customer.
Lizacom EDI solution is a very robust application server that handles a variety of formats and converts them to the format you need. In addition to this we have a special application that can interpret any output (including PDF and image formats) that receives output, identify the type and read the information based on this. We may receive an image and make it a readable data format (OCR). Not only can we handle multiple formats (image, text, postscript, etc.) but we can do it at once! Your employee can send unlimited number of documents in a unlimited number of formats (. A mixture of BMP, PDF, CSV, TXT, GIF, JPG, PS, etc.), intended for an unlimited number of customers who will receive their own electronic format of invoice. Also you can ask if we manage to deal with different ways to handle the action of the receiver ID? Of course we can! Now we say no more about the sending of invoices even though there are still more things we have in the standard. Ask your providers if they can handle more than 2 of the points we mention here, we are fairly confident that they can not. Please send us an email if there is one provider that manages more than 2 of our points, it does not even have to be simultaneously handling. Lizacom working with customers in Europe, USA and Russia and we have not managed to find one other solution that can offer something at all similar to our solution.
Enough said on sending invoices. Hopefully you also get orders from your customers. We use the same technique for sending as receiving. What about an electronic fax that does not write the paper? Spam filter on your fax? Based on telephone number + the text contained in the fax. Admin panel? Electronic relay of faxes? ID of the fax that will come to you, which sends orders to the order office. A few clicks and the order is in their ERP system, spam garbage, admin to admin, etc.
EDI and security
Has your company thought about that when you transmit documents via the Internet or telephone as the documents are fully readable for everyone else if not encrypted? Are you aware that your documents can be copied without your knowledges? The only requirement is that an unauthorised recipient perceives that you are downloading something, then they can help themselves to get what they want.
Most companies have a policy to keep confidential information confidential. The largest violation of this idea comes when files are to be transferred. Then all the good intentions are forgotten.
The vast majority of EDI providers choose to use FTP for file transfer. FTP is not only an old and obsolete technology, but it is also entirely without protection. Not only are your transmitted documents fully readable for everyone else, including your username and password are sent completely open. If you use FTP it is not just the documents that are transferred there and then that can be stolen. If an unauthorised source obtain a user name and password they have full access to all documents on the server you are sending to. Moreover, even an intruder who has used a different than their login, access your files. Often used something called "Jail" to prevent that you can access files other than your own. This is just a "simple" user block that can be avoided for those with expertise in the area. To make matters worse, if your supplier do not have *nix based servers (like OSX, Unix, Linux and so on) they can actually crack you whole network. So if someone picks up a password, they can in theory have access to your files even if you do not see more than your own folder. This information can be bought and sold via the Internet so that even if "burglary thief" may not have interest in the information, it can be sold to someone who has it. Maybe something to think about?
The arguments for using FTP are often that "everyone" knows how it is used and that is is so easy to implement. But if the user have to care about these issues, isn´t the solution they offer actually crap? Why do they demand a single user to take corporate decisions? The thing that the suppliers of out-of-date EDI solutions actually says is that they do not care about who gets hold of your information, as long as they get your business and avoid having to redo their systems. Lizacom is one of very few that KNOW how to encrypt, everywhere. And your user do not even have to think about it, we do it as default. We see this feature as obvious. If you cant stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!
Lizacom communicate encrypted, always! It`s obvious...
"Everybody" knows how to print to a network printer as long as it is added to the laptop, Mac or Linux. From the user has printed the correct printer, our solution handles the rest. All of the "nerde" things going on at the server level, it is only to print the document the user have to worry about. All of encrypted transmission, authentication and so on are handled by our program, all by itself. We in Lizacom never transmits a file unless this is encrypted, even if it is just an e-mail with a shopping note from our mother to by milk :) For those who can secure the transmission, it is actually easier to transmit encrypted than unencrypted.
We say no more. If your company wants to "Go Electronic", talk with Lizacom then you are online before you have time to say elec .....
